Hello All,
Although not strictly a foodplant/gardening Question,we,re hoping for a short break in West Sussex this coming week, mainly to visit Wakehurst place, and hopefully to try for Brown hair; at Steyning,my question is,what are the chances of finding Round headed Rampion still in flower,in the West Sussex area and if so,any suggestions for a site in the
Steyning area,i,ve heard possibly Cissbury ring is good, but will we be too late ? thanks in advance regards Allan.W.

Round headed rampion are still out at Malling Down, near Lewes,I saw them there last week. Look on the steep south facing slope overlooking the allotments. This is a Sussex Wildlife Trust reserve, great for butterflies too.
