Re: Pete Eeles

Such great photos Pete :) . Clive and I have spent the last couple of weekends exploring the Forest as we only visited for the first time last year (on several occasions) and are no where near as familiar with it as you but already know it will be one of our ' hot spots' . We felt lucky seeing our f...

Re: Shirley

No problems Gruditch :) , in fact this is turning out like a 'Miss Marples' mystery  . Wurzel, as Gruditch says when you do see one it will definately be worth the wait, now Eastern Clearing narrows it down quite a bit due to the size of Bentley Wood and so just tread carefully and keep looking...

Well, very pleased to say we were not disappointed and saw one on the coast path from Charmouth to Stonebarrow. Brief as it was and Clive only managed a couple of shots (still trying to persuade him to ...

Hi Denise,
Thank you very much for your help. I did what you said and have just let it go in the garden so hope it will find a nice hidey hole somewhere. Thanks again.

Re: Help Please

Just found it again, flying around the landing and it is a small tortoiseshell and not a painted lady. Sorry I did say I was new but help would be appreciated as don't think it is going far!

Not too sure who was most surprised and after a flutter around the bedroom it finally settled on our duvet. ...

Hi to you all, Hubby Clive and I have just joined this site and it looks really informative and friendly. We have always loved butterflies and seem to be out most weekends searching and getting better with our identifying (I hope) . Red Admirals seem a bit scarce around here though or maybe just not...
