You obviously have to be well off but not necessarily a millionaire to buy something similar . A modest inheritance would do the job nicely .

Re: UKB Site Listings
Beacon Hill Nature Reserve Rottingdean East Sussex Whilst not a spectacular site compared to many others , there is a very good population of Marbled Whites here . A few Dark Green Fritillaries are seen most years and a very small colony of Chalkhill Blues seems to have clung on for many years in li...

Castle Hill NR Woodingdean , Brighton can give you Marbled White , Chalkhill and Adonis Blues certainly the 1st two at the same time .
Various woods in Sussex can give you Purple Emperor and Purple Hairstreak combined with the 1st 2 above if timed right .

Re: Consistently small adults
A few years ago now , I saw a noticeably enormous female Peacock in Newhaven ,East Sussex . Like several others seen at the same time it was freshly hatched and had twice the wing area of its presumed siblings .

Agree that this seems to be a general rule , but strangely the first sighting of a Grizzled Skipper this year at Mill Hill , Shoreham ( a well visited site ) was a female and she was egg laying .

Re: Map sighting near Swanage
I must confess that I still do not understand the distinction made by some between 1) Introduced species ( bad )that does not compete with native species already here and adds something to our fauna/flora 2) Natural immigrant ( good ) that arrives under its own steam and harms one or more species of...
