Spotted my first White Admiral of the year today. Bookham Common, Surrey - track between 100 Pound Bridge and Meritt's Cottage.

Spotted a male Orange-tip today (weather sunny and warm) in a woodland ride at Bookham Common, Surrey (TQ 131 567) - will notify recorder. Also spotted at least 10 Commas, 10 Brimstones and half a dozen Peacocks. Didn't manage shot as he was too active moving along side of track and eventually moved...

Spotted a Brown Hairstreak just east of Redhill, Surrey today (10/9/09) on the Nutfield road. Also saw saw a number of whites, pair of commas and a red admiral - just out for a walk. The hairsteak was too quick for the camera.

I was out this past Saturday, Draycott Sleights in the Somerset area and saw ten Painted Ladys on the reserve. Then saw at least a dozen, half sat on the road sunning, driving back to Bristol. Yesterday, we spotted at least 20 walking around the city over a few hours moving quickly through the air.
