Re: Moth ID
Hi folks
The name I used, Adela rufimitrella, is the one given in my British Moths, by Chris Manley. 2008. It would appear that it has changed it's name since then to Cauchas rufimitrella and is the one in current use. Still the same moth.
Cheers

Hi Guy
Yes you could be correct. A. reaumurella is a day flying moth, usually seen in May and June. Flies in numbers above trees, large swarms at times.

Hi Ian
I have been with Wild Echo five times and agree with Tony, Mario is very, very good. Also Dobry, the owner of Wild Echo is equally as good.
I'm looking to book again next year.

Re: September 2021
HI Yes, I would go with Purple Bar. A common species I get in my garden, coming to the moth lamp. I had the same problems with the Lesser Treble-bar and Treble Bar a few years ago on Broughton Down and Stockbridge Down. Lots about, disturbed at regular intervals. All my images were of Lesser Treble-...

Hi,
The last moth is probably a Lesser Treble-bar. There is a Treble Bar, very similar, always confusing.

Hi Pauline
My thoughts on the moth i.d.'s
First is a Gold Spot. Golden Twin-spot is a rare immigrant.
Knot-grass, Lychnis..a possible Flounced Rustic
Penultimate might be a Dun-bar, I can't tell from the side view.
The last is an Oak Lutestring.
Cheers
