Heath or Provencal Fritillary
I had listed this butterfly seen in the Cevennes, France, in the 2nd half of May, as Heath Fritillary. But after reading notes from David M, I am wondering if it is the Provencal Fritillary.

Thanks David. That looks good. The owner of the gite where this was found thinks the flower it was on is Winter Savory ... "a classic ingredient of 'herbes de Provence"
