Is it or isn't it a SSW?
I've just been looking back on photos I took on this day in recent years and came across this one. It was taken on July 12th 2018 at Aston Rowant NNR. I'm curious. Have I inadvertently photographed a Small Southern White or is it a common or garden Small White. I'm grateful for any thoughts. TIA.

Same old question
Same old question. Is it Southern Small White, Small White or Green-veined White. Alas no underside photo. I suspect the latter. Photographed 21st July 2023 Forest of Dean.

Southern Small White??
I took this photo on Hayling Island a couple of days ago. Google lens tells me it’s a Southern Small White. That can’t be right can it?? Maybe the damaged wing makes google think they are wing markings?

Re: File too large
I tried a different method and successfully managed it by using my phone instead of my PC. My question/photos are on identification topic. Thanks again.

I photographed this female Orange Tip in The Forest of Dean yesterday (May 1st). She looks a bit creamy. Is this normal or is she an ab? Thanks.

Re: Annual 2022 Competition
This is my 3rd entry. The rather plain looking butterfly is actually a White-letter Hairstreak! It's just been nabbed by a spider who must have stunned it somehow. They seem to be easy pray for the spiders hiding in the Hemp Agrimony. I've seen this before in previous years, but never seen the upers...

2023 BC calendar
Is the 2023 BC calendar available for sale? If so where can I order one? There's no sign of it on their website. Thanks.

Indeed David. Whereabouts are you? I live close to the Welsh border. Monmouth is only about 7 miles away from my home.
