Had a good day today, seeing my first Emperor and managing a few photos. Was thinking I might have missed out but one dropped in front of me whilst I was walking back.

Hello Rick, havent been to Fermyn for a week, but still plenty of activity at Salcey, so it should still be rewarding at Fermyn.From the A 6116 just north of the country park take the Harley way towards Lyveden new bield, and just past the gliding club entrance there is a pull in on the right.Park ...

I have been watching at least 6 today up in the canopy. I must have been there 5 hours and none came within reach for a decent shot. Local chap I met at the site said early morning after a damp night is the best chance of seeing them low.
