Reappeared alongside the track that borders the clearing to the left (much to my relief !) at 13.40, after it had disappeared for about an hour and a half.
I don't think I've ever seen so many Chalkhill Blues. Also 2 worn Dark Green Fritillaries on the open downland.

Birdguides reporting 2 BVW present, one of which was killed by a wasp. Another probable seen in flight yesterday per the Portland Bird Observatory site. Other recent Large Tortoiseshell sightings that I've heard of include 3 in Hants, one at Beachy Head and one near Sidmouth.
