Thanks for the reply the bottoms blues and the top one were taken at roughly the same spot 43.040N 42.501E E at a height of 1386.4 according to my photo data. 2nd Top Blue was taken at 41 36.30 N 41 34.70 E 11.1 height .I am afraid did't get many images as this was just a quick stop thanks for the h...

A mix of Fritillaries I think the first ones are Silver washed but the green under the wing has made me unsure

Was in Georgia (west side) for a birding hoilday in september found a few butterflies which i am not sure of if any has any ideal would be much appreciated.

Know this is an old thread but up in the lakes from next weekend so wondering if the chances of the irton fell butterflies appearing by next week (7-13 june) as i know this colney is reported as coming out earlier

A couple of hot days in cumbria produced Northern brown Argus, DGF including one egg laying(which where the only ones which stopped), quite a few graylings and scotch argus on the wing at arnside knott. There today couldn't nail a high brown on id only
the dark green though quite faded now but more likely due to the warmth also saw northern brown argus, grayling and scotch so everything seems to be about

Thinking of going for this next week weather permitting as iam in the area but haven't gone looking for them before if people could suggest good sites and area to catch up the species would be most graceful as i see a few sighting have been reported on the cumbria butterfly website

With Regards to the Marsh Fritillary had them at Finglandrigg NNR had them on the 4th of June and i think they been out for least a week by then so i would think they may have passed for this year by the time you go, though could depend on the weather of course.
