Sites Near Leyland/Preston

I have to be in the vicinity of Leyland/Farington/Preston on a course 2nd week of July. Just in case I have some time to spare, are there any good butterfly sites close by? What am I likely to see?

You're not that far away from the Morecambe Bay limestones.
