Butterfly / Moth Planting mix

Post by organicroofs »

Hello

I work for a green/living roof company based in the South East of the UK. We are currently developing a planting mix to support butterflies and moths. I would really value the input of people on this forum into which species to plant for forage/feeding and habitat (ie eggs/caterpillars). I think the sussex emerald is a listed species in our area and likes to feed on ragwort, but that is about as far as my knowledge goes at the moment! Any info about local specific species and how to encourage them really welcome too :)

Here is our website too if you want to know more about us http://organicroofs.co.uk/

Thank you so much!
