Winter social 2016

Post by Susie »

Would there be any interest in a winter social this year?

I would definitely attend were this to go ahead. We've organised these (well, Susie has... :) ) for the last four or five years and they have been really enjoyable without exception. Last year had a particularly good turnout if I remember. Being a creature of habit, I would favour the usual venue (The Old Forge in Otterbourne), but subtle changes in membership may make somewhere else preferable.

We need a date as well - the last Saturday in November has been the normal slot (26th this year).

Any thoughts?

That's great, Dave.

I reckon if it ain't broken don't fix it, same place as last year on the last Saturday of November is what has worked in the past.

Wonderful to know that there will be quite a few of us there, it will be lovely to catch up with some familiar faces.

If anyone new wants to come along you would also be very welcome. We are a friendly bunch :D

Also, although it is nice to have an idea of who is coming along there is really no need to decide before the day - you can just turn up and surprise us if you are the spontaneous sort.

Hi.

Is the social an evening do or lunch time...? I would love to go long to it if time allows.

I think I can make it this year, too. Are we expected to eat there? How do I recognise a group of fellow lepidopterists when they are not in the field?
