Agreed. Perhaps it should be that you have to vote on every image, even if it is time consuming, to make it fair (other than you own entry if you have one, of course).

Agreed, I think there's around eight images in there, that are really quite outstanding. :D
Makes my life a lot easier when it comes to compiling the next calendar.

Remembered to vote this month! :) Think this is the best set of images for some time this month. some real stunners!

Good to see that maybe last months discussions have hopefully encouraged a few people to vote for all images and there's even an instruction on how to vote now. I did eventually find some not very specific details in a page on the website somewhere, but I can't find it again now. Something to be added to the sticky 'Read Me First' topic at the head of this forum where it explains how to submit and view images too perhaps?

Congratulations to Fishiee 1st, Nigel Kiteley 2nd and Pete Withers 3rd. In such a high quality competition I think there should be an honourable mention for = 4th, Julian's unusual angle shot of a Swallowtail, and Susie's wonderful aberration Adonis ( my personal favourite 8) ). The entry's by Rodosranger and Romansnumber7 were outstanding too, and well done to all that entered.

Wow! Congratulations to the winners and well done to everyone else. :D

There were some really stunning entries this month and I am quite amazed by how many votes I received compared to some far superior images. The adonis ab was quite an amazing butterfly though and I feel priviledged to have got a shot of him. I am chuffed to bits with coming joint fourth.

Wow I was quite surprised to get to the top this month with all the other great images entered :)

Have to say I was quite pleased to get my swall.owtail shot with 2 of my 3 days in Norfolk wrecked by the weather and only getting 3 hours on the last day with any chance of photos. My first ever visit to the broads and my first decent photo opportunity with swallowtails anywhere after several years of trying. Have to say that a Purple Emperors will have to go some to better these!

I also picked Susie's shot as my favourite. The butterfly itself was a stunner and it was photographed superbly. I thought it was going to be a clear winner.

Good to see Nigel pushing me hard again, and Pete's Glanville was pretty good too! Julian's Swallowtail was also a stunner on a much more attractive perch to mine!

Great to see a significant increase in the number of voters this month though still a few are being a bit lazy and not viting for everyone ;)

Congratulations to Fishiee, Nigel Kiteley and Pete Withers. All fantastic photos.
I have never given a score of 10 before but this month the top three scored 29 points between them from me.
I also really liked Vince Massimo's and romansnumber's Marsh frits, Pauline's SPBF, and rodosranger's Glanville as well as Susie's Adonis.
A very high standard indeed this month.

Thank you for your kind words Denise and to everyone who voted for me. This is the highest I have ever been in the 'leader board' with my little compact camera.
