Lesser Purple Emperor

Post by David1952 »

Just thought everybody might like to see this image. A first timer for us in the garden after 16 years.

A definite wow occasion.

That's certainly a wonderful garden visitor - or garden resident?

Lesser purple emperor has a rather patchy distribution in Normandy. Further south, it is found in pretty well every large wood, but not in Normandy.

If you have a dog, forget those hygienic plastic bags and let it leave plenty of good, smelly excrement around your garden! :D

Guy,
We don't have any dogs but we do have plenty of boar, deer and foxes in the garden. There are also lots of horses in neighboring fields.
