Hello all, another new member here trying to learn a bit more about butterflies, I`ve put a few photos in my gallery taken last summer,2013.

Hello, Mike - this is just the place you are looking for! don't think I've seen a question go unanswered in all the time I've been here. The breadth of knowledge is astonishing, and not just about butterflies either.

I spotted that aberrant Peacock amongst the images you've uploaded so far - most unusual and I'm very envious! Looking forward to seeing more in the coming months.

Thank you for the welcome, Last year 2013 was the first year that I have tried photographing butterflies, Normally I photograph horse sport (for fun not as a job) point to point three day eventing etc. I have put a few photos in my gallery.

The aberrant peacock I found on shotover Oxford it confused me when I saw it, I took a picture of it and sent it to pete Eeles who confirmed what it was.
