Pyrgus ID help required Part 4 - French Alps 2017

Thankfully, this is the last ID request from the Alps.

This critter was found puddling at around 1,500m. It shows an unusually marked upperside with reddish gc on the uns, and seemed a little smaller than the usual band of really big pyrgus, i.e. carthami, bellieri, alveus and armoricanus:

This next specimen was noticeably smaller than its relatives, and I was confident at the time that it is carlinae (seen at the same site at 1,500m):
