Pupa I/D

Post by keith »

I'm keeping watch on this Pupa in my shed.
Using your guide, I think it may be a Small White, or a Small tortoishell.
What do you think ?

Hi Keith, I would go for Small White in this case. Aside from the absence of several diagnostic features, you can rule out Small Tortoiseshell because the pupa of that species is always suspended by just its cremaster, so does not lay flat.

O.K. Thanks Vince. I'll try to get more photos as it hatches. :)
