ID Help Please

I photographed this Blue at Martin Down on Saturday, can anyone help me id it please.
not sure if it is Adonis or Common?

Hi Nigel,

Looks like Adonis to me: fringes are chequered (black veins extend all the way through the fringe).

Thanks Nik, most appreciated.

I must admit i was hoping it was Adonis rather than common (as I have far less images of Adonis), but sometimes its easy to id the species to what you want it to be rather than what it actually is.

a few minutes after the photograph it flew off and landed on a different grass where I got the following image.

not sure if that helps the ID at all?
