Notes and Views - March 2016

Post by Vince Massimo »

Following a very mild and wet winter, March has been fairly quiet so far, and the most unusual sighting has been of a very early Wall seen at Combwich, Somerset on 22nd March. Reported on twitter by Roger Musgrove https://twitter.com/Jynx_37/status/712271651338067968

Since the cold winters of 2008/2009, 2009/2010 and 2010/2011, there has definitely been a trend of mild winters and cold March's and April's (at least in Sheffield). Prior to 2008/2009 I definitely remember March's and particularly April's and May's being relatively decent most of the time. There definitely seems to be a shift in weather patterns
