Re: October 2017

Was tempted out by warm ( but breezy ) weather... walked all the way round Grafham Water. In spots sheltered from the breeze there were some fine Red Admirals and a few Commas on the brambles.

Re: Holiday to Spain 2017 Part 2

Re: Marseilles South of France 2017

Still quite a few interesting species flying by you, Chris, although many look to be at the latter end of their lives. :( Well done with the Woodland Grayling upperside shot. I've been trying for a few years for this but have not yet been successful (yet I have managed Great Banded Grayling on occa...

Lovely images Chris !

The vaselina was especially belle. I enjoyed my French expedition this year despite its brevity.

Re: French Butterflies

Depends on what you mean by 'unusual', Charles. Two Tailed Pashas are highly unusual to me, but Marbled Skippers are commonplace! :) hehehe you are clearly very Pash-ionate about certain species David  i have just uploaded the final set of pics to flickr: https://www.flickr.com/groups/4113189@...

Re: Aude Hols 2017

One day I'll get to see them! i am reliably informed that the Truckstop at Rouffiac offers tremendous value at lunchtime; the 14 euro menu includes a whole bottle of local wine ! https...

Good shot of the mating Silver-washed Frits, Charles, I havn't witnessed that myself yet. Have a glass of chilled white wine on me :D avec modération, ou non Chris once you find a mating pair they are very easy to photograph.... they are oblivious to everything else :o i have just put some more pic...

Re: Aude Hols 2017

Just 4 days left, Charles!! Is it a truncated pilgrimage this year? I had to scroll down quite a bit, but I was sure you wouldn't disappoint on the gastronomie front! Meals out in France are always a delight. I have yet to see Two Tailed Pasha so I am most envious at your seemingly regular audience...
