Forest near my house
I went to the forest near my house to see what was there. I saw:
10+ Holly Blues (mostly males)
2-3 Red Admirals
3 Meadow Browns
1 Male Speckled Wood
1 Large white
1 Small White
1 Small Copper
I never really go in here much, bhut have done latley and there is loads around. Holly Blues feedling on piles of Rosebay Willowherb, but too far to get pics. Hopefully soon I can get a decent shot of them.
First time I saw Small Copper here too. Piles of small moths here too.
Images (best holly blue shot I got, plus I got bramble thorns in my legs and found loads of marks where I was pricked trying to get Holly blue:

Hi Dave - Nice to see you have good numbers of Holly Blues. I had checked out the meadow near me to see if I could find a second brood, but haven't seen any.

I went to the location where I found the holly blues the first time, and I could not see any. I only see them in the forest region now. Maybe becuase the holly and ivy bushes I saw at the first location I saw holly blues, back in around March or so, was beside a forest and they could not be seen?
This is the most I have seen in one area, 10+ I know there was that many becuase I saw 5 at once and a few more behind them appearing.
