Species Density

The map below shows the density of species across the British Isles at a resolution of 10km. The distribution data (1995-2004) has been made available through the generosity of Butterfly Conservation. If you would like to get involved in recording, then a good place to start is the Butterflies for the New Millennium project. The "top 10" 10km squares with the most species are:
